I subscribed to this before a couple of years ago and then let my subscription lapse. It's thin but still good, and still sending those great CDs.
I Have had a subscription with PC gamer for a long long time and until recently i have had to let it lapse, This magzine gives great insight into the games of today as well as alot of first looks into the games of tomorrow. I find Most of the reviews are spot on as to playability, graphics, and Fun factor. if your looking for a magzine to get the one up in Gaming go for this one.

The reason I stopped getting it was because it seemed like every other page was an advertisement and not content. I have been getting this magazine off and on for 10 years now and I recently let my subscription expire. The articles and reviews are very well done and are very humorous. Except for the main cover article you will have to read a page, flip a page just to finish a story. This magazine used to have quality and quantity but the quantity is strating to fall.
It's worthless. This magazine is okay. As an example, they often put "racy" pictures in the magazine - not nudity, but this magazine is NOT appropriate for young people. Also, I don't want the CD. Give us a discount for a subscription WITHOUT the stupid CD. I have kids, and so I can't leave this lying around.
Hahah. There are things about it, however, which are downright awful. For example - they put a DEMO for "Ghost Recon" - a 5-year old game on the disc once. It's really too bad. It's just low-class lazy graphics work (not college degree print-design quality). It's not worth ten cents.
Nobody wants the CD - drop the price, and stop shipping the stupid coaster.
